“We are a small company, so we designed the original one-year access plan as a precautionary measure since we were not certain if we could support lifetime access. We sincerely apologize for putting our current users in this position.”
----- Notability Team
Nobody is asking for a "lifetime access" okay? Sounds like I'm being a dick and bullying the whole developing team to work for me indefinitely.
Just because you can't guarantee a lifetime software support doesn't mean you can take away the developed feature from paid users, these are two completely different concepts.
The damage has been done, the trust has been broken. A big fuck you to Ginger Lab. I wonder why this build was able to pass the App store review. Apple is definitely encouraging more and more developers to shift to a subscription business model.
